A year to the day

It is a whole human year today that my human mum and dad traveled all the way down to see me with my mum and brothers and sisters. How time flies as yesterday they took me to a show and apparently I did good beating 4 others in my class before beating my half brother Merlin and coming 2nd to my canine dad Alfie for BOB.
Apparently that made me RBOB which my humans seemed very pleased with.
On a more important note, I got lots of nice stuff for Christmas and have been hanging out with the gorgeous cocker chick Lucy, mostly spending Christmas with my nose stuck to her bum much to her dislike.
I did lots of playing and went for a really nice walk with my cocker brothers and the humans to Grizedale forest.

 Up against my dad Alfie for Best of breed, he never let me win, thought dads were supposed to do that for their children but he did look amazing according to my human.

Although only shown lightly Wallace has had a good first year, winning his class in every show entered. Wallace also achieved three best puppy in breed awards with one as BPIS at the Field Spaniel Society open show.

Special thanks to Debs Channon, for her unending support and for allowing me to have my beautiful boy, thanks also to Gretel and Shula for helping me with valuable advice for my introduction into the world of field spaniels.

Wallace continues to work for a living and is a very helpful member of my dog training team. His own training is progressing well and in addition to gun dog work, he has a few tricks up his sleeve to wow his public when needed.

I am the bestest puppy in fieldy land

Dad took me to one of them show things where I get to meet lots of others like me, I saw some of my half brothers, my dad and my grandma were there but best of all I got to have a huge play with my sister.
Oh and I also got given some rosettes and a trophy for standing still and being admired and following dad round in a triangle.
I didn't really like doing it to start with but dad had a play with me and i enjoyed it after that.

Well the humans have brought me to the back end of beyond again in the white tin can, been swimming in the sea today and going to see my mum on Thursday,not sure she'll recognize me, I have grown a bit since she last saw me.
made some new friends today though although dad says I just ate my new friends for my tea so they may not be my friend for long.

I got my first show lead the other day and have my first show this week, dad has been messing round trying to get me to stand in some strange manner when all i want to do is sit on my bum.

I have finally decided that muddy dykes are great fun!!!

I went out with the big dogs today

Dad said as a special treat I could go and play at being a big dog apparently I'm not really supposed to yet but dad is so happy with my progress he said once wouldn't hurt.
 I watched swiming and sort of had a go.

I also did some stalking and was allowed a retrieve.

I sat with my bruvvers looking at dad with some strange thing pointed at us.

I was norty and had a little run although dad soon put a stop to it and called me back with his whistle.



Then we went home and I did some playing with dad, and Alfie.
Dad was happy as he found another of my baby teeth. I then had a cuddle with dad on his deckchair before deciding to kick him off and have it all to myself. Busy day for a fieldy pup me thinks Yawwwwwwwn zzzzzzzzzzzz.
