Well it's been quite a few months for Wallace and Arthur but for very different reasons.
March 2013 saw Wallace ready for Crufts and looking his best before tragedy struck and he fractured his elbow and had to undergo a four and a half hour operation to put him back together again.
All was going well with his recovery until two weeks after the surgery he was hit by an infection on the wound that still may result in him going through surgery again to remove and replace implants in his leg that may be harboring the bacteria.
For the moment Wallace continues to improve but it will be nervous times when he is taken off antibiotics at the end of May to see if the infection returns.
Arthur has stepped up to the plate in the show ring in his absence winning best puppy in breed at Manchester Championship show in January, and following this up with a trip to crufts to represent the breed on discover dogs on Gun dog day.
Arthur then continued his winning ways at Welks Championship show, winning best puppy in breed .

Arthur also won best puppy in show at the Field Spaniel Society 90th anniversary open show.

Welcome to my little brother

We went on a road trip last weekend, really long awful journey as it turned out on something called the M25 where there seemed to be lots of parked cars for some reason.
We did a nights camping before dad took me to a show.
I was in the biggest class of fields I'd ever been in and my first as a postgraduate.
Despite my dad being useless, I only went and won!

We drove down to the south coast and went for a fab walk by the sea, my dad said it was our last walk as a gang of four, but I wasn't sure what he meant.
I soon found out the next day when we picked up my little brother Arthur who has now come to live with us. I have been helping dad look after him this week. I think he is brilliant

Preparing for a pie

Wallace has been having a dress rehearsal for the arrival of his younger brother Arthur next week.

Wallace was mine host with the most to Ollie the field spaniel who came for a sleep over at the weekend.
Ollie is a totally cute pup who was brilliantly behaved and a pleasure to babysit.
A few pictures below of the fun and mayhem that ensued.

I had my first show where I was not a junior any more the other day at the Field Spaniel Society championship show.
Dad entered me in a category called graduate and I only went and won.
Dad seemed very pleased.
